Roman Reigns' Best Booking Options After Return from WWE Suspension

Roman Reigns' Best Booking Options After Return from WWE SuspensionWWE has stuck to its guns and kept Roman Reigns in the WWEChampionship match for Battleground later this month despite his 30-day suspension—but that doesn't necessarily mean it is the best booking option for him.
There are plenty of options for Reigns moving forward, whether it's a returning Superstar or someone currently more active than him on the roster. Here are three options for what the company can do with The Big Dog heading into SummerSlam.

Postpone the Shield Triple Threat Match Until SummerSlam
One logical way for WWE to go is altering the storylines heading into Battleground and saving the dream match between Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for SummerSlam.
That is a feud and match worthy of one of the company's biggest shows of the year, so why rush it for Battleground when one of the main men isn't around to build the match?

WWE has successfully used Rollins to make Reigns look like he's in a poor position heading into Battleground. All it would take is Stephanie or Shane McMahon deciding Reigns isn't worthy of a spot in the title match at Battleground.

That would allow Ambrose and Rollins to have a one-on-one match, with Reigns going on a strong run between now and SummerSlam to show he's worthy of the spot at that pay-per-view.
Or he could interfere in the bout at Battleground, cause it to be a no-contest and turn heel in the process.

Brock Lesnar
If Reigns remains in the Battleground match and loses, it leaves him with nowhere to go in terms of the title picture—at least for the time being.
It's worth noting that WWE is making a big deal of Brock Lesnar's impending return for SummerSlam, announcing his opponent for next month's show will be revealed on SmackDown this week:

It's likely Lesnar will decide he wants to go after whoever the champion may be after Battleground, but if not, why not another run against Reigns?
It would solidify Lesnar as a babyface, given how he'll be squaring off against a guy few people seem to like.

And it would throw Reigns back into a high-octane and interesting rivalry right after a 30-day suspension. Picking a winner would be difficult, too.

Triple H and The Authority
It may not sit well with a lot of people, but perhaps Triple H, The Authority and Roman Reigns have unfinished business.
If the brand split results in Stephanie and Shane McMahon each taking on a show, the return of Triple H alongside Stephanie to lead Raw could be a catalyst for the power couple to set their sights on Reigns again.

If WWE is intent on keeping Reigns babyface despite plenty of fan backlash, this wouldn't be a bad way to go. There are not many people who are less over than Reigns, but the return of The Authority would sit so poorly with WWE fans that they could have no choice but to cheer Reigns. Admittedly, it's a long shot, but it's one that could happen.
Reigns vs. Triple H at SummerSlam would hardly be the most appealing match in the show's history, but it could potentially allow Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to go it alone and fight each other for the WWE Championship.
And given how exciting that feud has proved to be in the past, any rivalry that takes Reigns away from that could work.
